Frequently Asked Questions:-

Do I need any previous dance experience?
None at all! -  It's so easy & fun to do - we all learn together & have fun along the way! You will not be made to feel embarrassed in any way - you won't feel out of place if you're not wearing trendy gear or just not keeping up - you just do what YOU can, nothing more.  No pressure whatsoever. 

Absolutely ideal for the plus sized ladies/gents looking to shape up & tone, because you just do what YOU can, we take regular water breaks.

It is aimed at total beginners with lots of low-impact moves but there is the option (if you want) to add that little bit extra if you feel you can...maybe in a few weeks, it really doesn't take long before you get to know the music.

I am not used to any type of exercise & have
never done classes before, I'm a bit worried that
I won't be fit enough to take part, will I be ok?
I welcome with open arms anyone who has never exercised in their lives before - this is what Zumba is all about.  Absolutely anyone can do
it, whether young or old.   I want to give the opportunity to people to come and just give it a
try and see what benefits you can gain, not only
to your health but to your overall well-being & state of mind.  Release those endorphins, feel great!  

What should I wear?
Sensible comfortable clothing, layering is best, e.g. baggy t-shirt, cardigan, tracksuit bottoms etc.  Good comfortable trainers or dance shoes are a must for Health & Safety (shock absorbent).
No sandals or slip-on shoes.  No heels (you would be surprised!). Something you can twist and turn
easily, to the beat of the music, that doesn't grip the floor too well but is safe.

What should I bring?
Water & a small towel - always keep yourself hydrated during the class.  We will take water
breaks after each track for a 2/3 minutes plus finish with nice, relaxing stretches to music. 

Please bring a small towel, you will get hot
when you workout & sweat a lot - it's all
good stuff though!   Burn them calories!!

Do I need a partner?
No!! - everyone is dancing facing the front - just "having a go!"  That's good enough for me! Just bring all your friends and have a great time!

IMPORTANT - HEALTH & SAFETY

You must feel fit & well enough to participate &  have no major health concerns.

Please bring any inhalers/necessary medication   to class with you, should you need to.

These classes will be ideal for anyone looking to lose weight safely & effectively.  You don't have to spend hours doing workout exercises at the gym.
In a short space of time, you will find you burn a lot of calories by just simply "moving" to the beat of the Latino music, although for safety, do check with your Doctor first if you are completely new to this type of exercise.  Safety is paramount.
